About Giving at Home Homeless Outreach
Our Story
Giving at Home Started out as just ONE person. It started out on a Thanksgiving Day years and years ago. By taking some of the homeless brothers and sisters some Thanksgiving Meals that my family didn't eat. Through the years, its grown from just feeding a few people in need to feeding 50 people in the streets here and there, then I started making larger meals to feed up to 100 at a time. There were times I could no longer afford to feed all 100 of these folks out of my personal funds. It was getting to be too expensive. And that is when I started reaching out to my community to ask for help with donated food items and hygiene items that I needed to prepare meals for 100+ individuals and provide them much needed hygiene items. Now its grown so much through the years that we feed 300+ when my volunteers and I go out into the streets of Albuquerque, NM.
Our Values

- Empowerment: Providing Food, Hygiene Products, Blankets, clean clothing & pet foods for their companions so they have one less thing to struggle with.
- Inclusivity: Embracing diversity and creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed and accepted, irrespective of their race, religion, or beliefs.
- Collaboration: Working together within the community, volunteers, and other organizations to maximize impact to assist the Homeless community with items that they may need to help them survive.
